On Saturday 14 February 2009 the evening performance of Dirty Dancing will be dedicated to 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child charity, which offers support and opportunities as well as raising funds for disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people in the capital. Hosting this special event will be 95.8 Capital FM's Drivetime presenter Greg Burns and the station's showbiz reporter Sam Mann.

Jacobsen Entertainment, the producers of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage added, ‘We are delighted to be supporting Help a London Child with our annual Valentine's Gala - an extremely worthwhile cause which is doing so much work for young people in the capital'.

With this sensational production now in its third year in London, and with a brand new cast, the Valentine's Day Charity Gala will offer fans of Dirty Dancing the perfect opportunity to see this incredible show while also supporting Help a London Child. Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage has pledged a total of £40,000 from ticket sales to Help a London Child, and every guest on the night will also receive an exclusive Valentine's Day gift bag!

Since opening at the Aldwych Theatre on 24 October 2006, Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage has been seen by over a million people and is now booking for dates through to April 2010 to meet public demand!

Written by Eleanor Bergstein, script writer and creator of the phenomenally successful film, Dirty Dancing is the coming of age love story between the talented and headstrong dancer Johnny Castle (Martin Harvey) and Frances ‘Baby' Houseman (Leanne Rowe) during her family's summer holiday.

The stage show features all the much-loved characters from the iconic film as well as the tantalising dance sequences and the hits from the unforgettable soundtrack such as ‘Do You Love Me?', ‘Hungry Eyes' and the Academy Award Winning ‘(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'.

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage is produced by Jacobsen Entertainment and Karl Sydow, in association with Lionsgate and Magic Hour Productions. The stage show is directed by James Powell, music supervisor Conrad Helfrich, choreographer Kate Champion, set design Stephen Brimson Lewis, lighting design Tim Mitchell, sound design Bobby Aitken, video and projection design Jon Driscoll, Ballroom and Latin choreographer Craig Wilson and costume design Jennifer Irwin
