According to the Washington Post, a car smashed into the Arena Stage in the District Saturday night. The building appears to be fine and without damage; however, it wasn't clear if the people in the car were injured. Luckily, the car didn't hit any pedestrians.

The theatre's general manager, Ian Pool, said the vehicle struck a concrete wall on the Maine Avenue SW side of the building.

The crash took place after the Saturday night performance of Healing Wars had ended, around 10:20pm. And so, by that time, the area was clear of people. According to witness reports, the cars suddenly sped up while pulling out of a nearby restaurant and jumped the curb.

There are two more scheduled performances of Healing Wars today, June 29; and, as Pool told reporters, they will go on.
