Sir James Barrie's timeless tale of the boy who never grew up is an all-time favourite amongst many families, now reborn as a spectacular musical by Stiles & Drewe and the late Willis Hall, the adventure of Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell and the lost boys makes its way to the Grand Theatre stage in Bilston Operatic Company's latest production.

Wendy, John and Michael are whisked away from the cosiness of the nursery to the magical wonders of Neverland where wishes come true, childhood innocence comes alive and dreams last forever. There they fight the wicked Captain Hook and his dastardly pirates, come face to face with a crocodile and meet and make friends with fairies, The Lost Boys and Indians.

In the title role of Peter, flying across the stage in spectacular style is Maison Kelley. He is joined by Abbii Strudwicke and Lucy Follows who alternate the role of Wendy. Phil Jackson is the infamous Captain Hook and Zac Hollinshead plays alongside him as Smee. Tinkerbell is played by Maya Bowles and Darci Dobson at alternate performances, John by Alex Clark and Ryan Harris with Michael played by Liam Hewitt and Tom Horton. Local head teacher Nick Sullivan is Mr Darling.

The cast lineup is completed with a chorus of local performers who also play smaller roles.

This Stiles and Drewe version of the Victorian tale first saw light of day in Denmark, at the International Musical Of The Year in 1996, where it won two top awards for Best Song and The Orchestra's Award. It was in 1999 where a full production was first performed at Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen, performed in Danish.

The Bilston company that has been producing Musical Theatre since 1927 return to the Grand Theatre with PETER PAN, a magical musical adventure from Tue 18 - Sat 22 November.
