Former 'EastEnders' Duffett and Jordan Star in VINCENT RIVER, 5/18 - 6/5

Former "EastEnders" actors Nicola Duffett and Elliott Jordan are to star in the 10th anniversary production of Philip Ridley's acclaimed play VINCENT RIVER. It is about Anita, an East End mother seeking answers about the hate-crime murder of her gay son and Davey, the young man stalking her since his death. It will open at the Landor Theatre, Clapham, on May 18th and runs until June 5th.

Duffett (Anita) has an extensive background in film, theatre and TV. Her most notable television work is comprised of regular parts in BBC One drama "EastEnders" and Channel 5 soap opera "Family Affairs". Her theatre credits include "Troilus and Cressida" (Regent's Park), "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Regent's Park), "Macbeth" (Wimbledon Theatre) and "Cinderella" (Hackney Empire).

Jordan (Davey) played Vinnie Monks' long lost son, Callum in "EastEnders" from August 2008 to March 2009. He has since appeared in the TV hit comedy, "Benidorm", as Jack, a young Benidorm barman pursuing married Janice Garvey, and in 'Waking the Dead' and 'My Family' both for the BBC.

Philip Ridley was born in the East End of London where he still lives and works. He studied painting at St Martin's School of Art and his work has been exhibited widely throughout Europe and Japan. As well as three books for adults - and the highly acclaimed screenplay for the "The Krays" feature film (winner of The Evening Standard Best Film of the Year Award) - he has written several adult stage plays plus a further five plays for young people, collectively known as "The Storyteller Sequence." Ridley has won both the Evening Standard's Most Promising Newcomer to British Film and Most Promising Playwright Awards. The only person ever to receive both prizes.

For the production run from May 18 to June 5, evening shows are at 7:30 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays with matinee show at 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The Landor Theatre started life in 1994 as the Cage Theatre, before rapidly becoming Upstairs At The Landor in 1995. Its focus was (and remains) primarily on producing or housing musical theatre productions in an intimate environment. Following a major re-fit in 1998 the entire building was renamed The Landor Theatre. To this day, under the Artistic Direction of Robert McWhir, the theatre has earned a solid reputation for it's productions of both classic and new musical theatre, with productions of Sondheim's Follies and Assassins as well as City of Angels and, most recently, I Love You Because garnering both national and international acclaim.
