Anybody who is anybody will soon walk through that door...

You don't need a splurge gun, a flapper dress or even any previous musical theatre experience but if you'd like the opportunity to perform on stage at The Bristol Hippodrome then apply for your space now for The Bristol Hippodrome's Stage Experience production, Bugsy Malone.

It's not called Stage Experience for nothing. The one week rehearsal period based in the theatre is the chance to discover what life is really like as a musical theatre performer. All your hard work will culminate in two performances of the splurge-tastic Bugsy Malone on Saturday 5 August at 2.30pm & 7.30pm on the Hippodrome's stage.

There are 90 places in the cast available for young people aged 10-18 years. Those wishing to take part must be available for all rehearsal dates, between Monday 31 July and Saturday 5 August.

To take part in Bugsy Malone a completed application form must be received by the theatre by Friday 9 June. Places on the Fame Stage Experience will be allocated on a first come first served basis with a strict allocation based on gender and age. A Stage Experience fee of £165.00 for the week will then be required. For an application form or for more information please email alisoncobb@theambassadors.com.

Tickets are now on sale for the performances on Saturday 5 August and are priced at £17.50 (£20.40 online/phone). www.atgtickets.com/bristol or 0844 871 3012.

Its 1929 New York City, Dandy Dan's hoodlums terrorise the district, exterminating undesirables with their new weapon - splurge guns. His rival is Fat Sam Stacetto, but Fat Sam's gang still use old-fashioned pies. Bugsy Malone is thrust not-so-willingly into the gangster limelight, when he becomes the last chance Fat Sam's gang has of surviving.

Great songs, amazing dances, flashing lights and splurge-gun fights - what more would you want from a musical?
