Young People's Theatre has announced the return of Where the Wild Things Are. A landmark in children's literature, this highly-interactive adaptation of the award-winning Maurice Sendak classic delighted sold-out audiences when last presented at YPT in 2005. The play runs in the Studio from March 4 to 30 with special daily performances during March Break.

The incorrigible Max, sent to bed without his supper, embarks on imaginary travels to a land of wild animals and extraordinary adventures - where he is ultimately crowned ruler. Young audiences are invited to sail along with Max to the land of the Wild Things.

Where the Wild Things is a delightful interactive play where audience members become the 'wild things' in Max's adventure. Given the special nature of this show, the audience will sit on mats on the floor rather than in traditional theatre seating!

Directed by Kim Selody. Starring Raes Calvert as Max and Linda A. Carson as Mom and narrator.

Set, Props & Costume Designer: Linda Leon; Composer/Sound Designer: Cathy Nosaty; Lighting Designer: Bradley A. Trenaman; Stage Manager: Giselle Clarke-Trenaman.

YPT will also feature MARCH BREAK DRAMA CAMPS for grades JK to 6. This is a week jam-packed with creativity and non-stop fun where kids can make great friends and build self-confidence while creating a play they perform for friends and family on the final day of camp.
