World Premiere of Documentary Surf Film SWELLS OF INTEREST Set for 5/31 at Surfside Playhouse

World premiere of Diana Wehrell-Grabowski's SWELLS OF INTEREST is set for Saturday, May 31 at Surfside Playhouse. Doors open at 7:00pm, and admission is $5.00. The event will feature live music by The Aquanuts.

Swells of Interest is a collection of East Coast surf footage from hurricane and tropical storms, and other memorable swells from 2008 through spring, 2014. The film features a whole lot of Central East Coast surfers, at numerous local breaks.

More than just footage of storm surf, Swells of Interest includes meteorological narratives on numerous swells, as well as individual surfers sharing their memories of the swells featured. A melodic soundtrack with covers from The Beetles, Led Zepplin, Emerson Lake and Palmer, CSN, and more... performed by a variety of artists. Plus surf tunes by Cocoa Beach-based surf band, The Aquanuts.

Swells of Interest includes footage from the following hurricanes and tropical storms, as well as other memorable swells:
- Bertha, Hanna, Ike, Kyle, and more (2008)
- Bill, Danny, and Erika (2009)
- Earl, Nicole, Otto, and Igor (2010)
- Irene, Emily, Katia, and Ophelia (2011)
