UTA UBER KOOL JA to Play 2013 Adelaide Fringe at The Hotel Richmond, March 5-16

The comeback is back! You're invited to the hotel party of THE tragic fallen fashionista, Uta Uber Kool Ja.

In 2012, Adelaide fell in love with international never-was and washed up celebrity, Uta Uber Kool Ja. The absolute hit of the Fringe, Uta left Adelaide after a sold-out season and winner of the 2012 John Chataway Innovation Award.

Like all fabulous divas, this is one comeback tour that will never end. In 2012, she had to increase capacity, such was the demand for her hotel room parties. So now, Uta is back baring all: she'll dance for you; cry at you; laugh with you.

Her intimate parties take place inside a chic room at The Hotel Richmond, Rundle Mall from 5 March to 16 March as part of the 2013 Adelaide Fringe. Every inch of the room is Uta's stage, and the audience are her guests.

Inspired by amazing women of the 20th and 21st century Uta Uber Kool Ja is a tongue-in-cheek fictional biography of Uta: an actor/feminist/pop star/artist/designer/exhibitionist/rock star.

Each night, a select group is snuck into Uta's gorgeous room where she is in the mood to bare all, tell her secrets and ask for some in return. Before the champagne goes flat and the high heel snaps, Uta and her guests will share an experience. Uta Uber Kool Ja blends comedy, intimate exchanges and glossy finishes with champagne delusions to ask 'what more can we get from scraping the bottom of a barrel?' It is a peek-a-boo car crash that is deeply funny and ultimately, moving..

Uta Uber Kool Ja is the over-the-top alter ego of nationally recognised actor, Georgina Symes. Symes has acted around the country with some of Australia's greatest theatre companies, danced in Paris and recently appeared in 'Bad Behaviour', an award-winning independent film that screened at Cannes.

Of her upcoming Adelaide Fringe visit, Uta says 'I have one mission while in town: continue building an Army of Love. Look out Adelaide.'
