The State Museum presents the third annual "Frozen Sing-A-Long," a magical evening to spark young guests' imagination. During the event, guests will watch a special Sing-A-Long version of Disney's "Frozen," meet and greet with their favorite "Frozen" characters and enjoy crafts and activities. There will be light snacks and refreshments. "Frozen" costumes are highly encouraged.

Answering the Call: American Victory Posters from the First World War The SC Confederate Relic Room | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Free - $10
The SC Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum commemorates the centennial anniversary of World War I with a retrospective exhibit of American war posters. Answering the Call: American Victory Posters from the First World War revisits the wartime culture of the era through the bold imagery of the public poster. The last day of this exciting event is Dec. 30.

New Year's Eve Gala University of South Carolina Alumni Center | 7:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. | $150
The Lexington Medical Center Foundation and Women of Hope will host the first New Year's Eve Gala at the University of South Carolina Alumni Center in downtown Columbia. This premiere, black tie event will give the community an opportunity to celebrate with family and friends. And it benefits a great cause. Proceeds will fund the Lexington Medical Center Foundation's "Campaign for Clarity," which is working toward providing 3-D mammography throughout Lexington Medical Center's network of care.. South Carolina's largest New Year's Eve celebration welcomes New Orleans musical royalty, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, for a free, full-length outdoor concert - with direct support by Sister Hazel, beloved Southern folk-rock band; opened by Capital City Playboys, local Rockabilly party band, and Mike Stone and the Kritikal Band, local R&B/soul group - followed by a midnight countdown and the most colossal NYE fireworks show in the Carolinas. Tens of thousands of guests enjoy the vibrant, free Famously Hot New Year event in downtown Columbia, next to the historic State House, featuring beer, wine, bubbly and local food vendors, free parking, COMET park-and-rides, Alert cab vouchers and more.

Pajama Brunch on the Lake Liberty Tap Room on the Lake | 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. | Free
What could be better than brunch on the lake? Being able to wear your pajamas to brunch on the lake! No need to change out of your pajamas New Year's Day, you can go to brunch in them at Liberty Tap Room on the Lake. Eat brunch on the lake and enjoy $5 mimosas and a build-your-own bloody mary bar on the first day of 2017.
