Auditions Held for Sweeney Todd At Centre Stage April 17-18

Centre Stage will be holding auditions for the 2011-12 season opener, Sweeney Todd, a musical thriller by Stephen Sondheim, on April 17 & 18, 2011. Auditions are by appointment only -- to schedule an audition, contact Executive & Artistic Director, Glenda ManWaring via e-mail at glenda.manwaring@centrestage.org. All roles are available for casting, with the exception of the role of Sweeney Todd, which will be played by Will Ragland. Those interested in auditioning for specific roles should prepare the following songs from Sweeney Todd for their audition (or if you have a previously prepared song, please bring two copies of the sheet music to the audition):

Mrs. Lovett: "The Worst Pies in London" or "By The Sea"

Anthony Hope: "Johanna"

Johanna: "Green Finch & Linnet Bird"

Tobias: "Not While I'm Around"

Pirelli: "Pirelli's Entrance & The Contest, Part I"

Beggar Woman, Judge Turpin, The Beadle, Ensemble: "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd"
