This Saturday, the Pavilion introduces Super 2nd Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On the second Saturday of each month, our Visual Art and Kirby Science Discovery Centers will now feature new, educational and interactive experiences designed to engage people in hands-on and minds-on themed activities, demonstrations and projects above and beyond our everyday programming. Tomorrow, Saturday, July 9 we invite all ages to come explore the themes of Robotics and "Art"chitecture while experiencing the joy of science, art and learning all under one roof.

In 2016, dates for Super 2nd Saturdays are July 9, August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12 and December 10. Super 2nd Saturday activities are included with regular admission fees. As always, admission is free for members. Those who aren't members can visit the box office on Super 2nd Saturdays and receive 20% off membership and apply that day's admission fees toward an annual membership.

In addition to hands on activities, highlights of the first Super 2nd Saturday include guest presenters such as Rob Honomichl (DSU Instructor, College of Computing), Barb Wigg (Leader of the Sioux Falls Reading Bridge program), Fellowship of the Loose Screws, the FIRST Tech Challenge Team 7123 and Chase Kramer (Architect at TSP).

The Washington Pavilion is the region's home for the arts, entertainment and science. Located in a beautifully renovated historic building in downtown Sioux Falls, it is one of only a few facilities in the world to bring together under one roof the performing arts, visual arts and interactive science. The vast array of high quality programming and educational activities available through the Husby Performing Arts Center, Kirby Science Discovery Center, Visual Arts Center and the Community Learning Center ensures that people of all ages and walks of life can rely upon the Washington Pavilion to entertain, inspire, educate and enrich. There is, indeed, something for everyone here. For information about our programs, please call (605) 367-7397 or, (toll free) at 1-877-Wash Pav or visit our website at www.washingtonpavilion.org.
