The Theatre Group at SBCC will start the season July 11-28, 2018 in the Garvin Theatre with the musical, GREASE.  Book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

The Theatre Group at SBCC concludes the 17/18 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, CRIMES OF THE HEART by Beth Henley.

On March 19, 2018, Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre honored legendary Broadway composer John Kander with the company's ninth Stephen Sondheim Award. The Stephen Sondheim Award was presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy and will benefit Signature Theatre's artistic, education, and community programs.

Everybody say yeah! Staring last night, February 2, Grammy Award-winner Kirstin Maldonado, of the hit acapella group Pentatonix, made her Broadway debut as 'Lauren' in Kinky Boots on Broadway. In the interest of alt-holiday hilarity, Drafthouse Comedy Theater proudly presents The SantaLand Diaries by best-selling humorist David Sedaris, adapted by acclaimed theater director Joe Montello. Broadway actor Cameron Folmar stars as a gay, out-of-work writer who lands a job as a Macy's elf and spills the beans behind the scenes. Directed by DC theater veteran Lynn Sharp Spears, the solo show about a puckish Santa's helper runs December 7 to 23, 2017, at 1100 13th Street NW, Washington, DC, a quick walk from the Metro.

Magic Theatre (Loretta Greco, Artistic Director and Jaimie Mayer, Managing Director) announced today the complete cast of Barbara Hammond's World Premiere The Eva Trilogy. Previews begin on Thursday, October 19 at Magic Theatre's Fort Mason location, with a press opening on Saturday, October 28. The production is helmed by Magic's Artistic Director Loretta Greco. Tickets are on-sale now, and subscriptions to Magic Theatre's 2017-2018 Season are also available.

Vineyard Theatre presents the New York premiere of Kid Victory, book and lyrics by Greg Pierce, music by John Kander with story by John Kander and Greg Pierce, and directed by Liesl Tommy. Kid Victory began previews on Wednesday, February 1 and opened last night, February 22 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St. in New York City).
