Shepperd, has announced that the fastest selling show in its history and the second show in its 2017-2018 season, the Los Angeles intimate theatre premiere of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT The Musical, book by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, based on the Latent Image/Specific Films Motion Picture Distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., presented in special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) with choreography by Roman Pantoja, musical direction by Jennifer Lin, directed by Jessica Hanna and produced by Stephen Soucy and Jay Marcus is EXTENDING through SUNDAY, APRIL 15 at Celebration Theatre @ the Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave. in Los Angeles.

Burt Bacharach and Hal David, whose pop songs pretty much defined the mid-to-late 1960s and early 1970s, only wrote one Broadway show, Promises, Promises. There may have been many reasons for the success of the show. With stellar turns by Marcelo Medici as the big-corporation employee whose idea on how to get ahead in business consists of lending his bachelor apartment to his married bosses, and by Malu Rodrigues as the cafeteria waitress with whom he falls in love even though she is having an affair with the personnel director, and with Alonso Barros in charge of choreography and Claudio Botelho & Charles M eller directing, the musical proves that it is still as fresh and vibrant as it was when it was first created, opening in Brazil now, 50 years after his debut on Broadway.

A populist candidate, promising to return the country to greatness, becomes president of the United States, and then all hell breaks loose in It Can't Happen Here, a new play based on Sinclair Lewis' eerily prescient 1935 novel, adapted for the stage by Tony Taccone and Bennett S. Cohen. Foothill Theatre Arts presents It Can't Happen Here, directed by Bruce McLeod, for three weeks only, now through November 19, 2017 at the Lohman Theatre, on the Foothill College Campus (at the bottom of the hill), 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. 'PREformances with Allison Charney' launches its 2017-2018 Concert Series Season in its new home at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Both intimate and stately the 450-seat Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center is located within the world-renown epicenter of classical music on Manhattan's West Side.

George Street Playhouse presents Curvy Widow, starring Broadway's Nancy Opel (GSP's The Toxic Avenger, Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas). The sassy musical comedy will not only close out GSP's 2016-17 season, but also mark the final show performed in The Playhouse's current building. On March 9th, 2017, Sing For Your Seniors (SFYS) hosted the latest in its series of Broadway Sessions with cast members from Cats for the LGBT seniors at SAGE Center Midtown. The musical performance, led by SFYS Session Leader Daniel Torres (Broadway: Beautiful, Evita, The Pirate Queen, The Woman in White, Off-Broadway: Altar Boyz, National Tour: Wicked), included songs of the performers' choosing as well as songs from Cats.
