Even before it opened this month, La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment knew they had a hit production on their hands with SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, based on the greatest movie musical of all time with screenplay by Betty Comden & Adolph Green and songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed. Adapted from the 1952 movie of the same name which starred Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Debbie Reynolds and Jean Hagen, the plot closely adheres to the original story set in 1920s Hollywood during the waning days of the Silent Screen era, focusing on romantic leading man, Don Lockwood, his tap dancing sidekick Cosmo Brown, aspiring actress Kathy Selden, and Lockwood's platinum blonde leading lady Lina Lamont, whose less-than-dulcet vocal tones make her an unlikely candidate for stardom in the new talking pictures.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, 'Evita' is a musical masterpiece by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber that is filled with well-known numbers such as 'Oh What a Circus,' 'Buenos Aires,' and 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina.'

Tony Award winner Rosemary Harris returns to the Broadway stage assuming the role of Mrs. Higgins in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady, directed by Bartlett Sher. Get a first look below!

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues its 2014-2015 REVOLUTIONary season with The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, which opens on Saturday, September 27 and runs through Saturday, November 22, 2014. Directed by five-time L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award-winner Michael Michetti, this is the second production of The Importance of Being Earnest for A Noise Within, which mounted the play originally in their 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. Rose Theatre Kingston will present THE LADY FROM THE SEA starring Joely Richardson, recently seen in U.S. version of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. Also playing this season is HERE, a comedy about love and living together by one of Britain's most acclaimed playwrights, Michael Frayn.

Set in French Guiana, a region where on Christmas Eve the temperature has graciously dropped to 104 degrees, three amiable convicts are employed as roofers above the Ducotel's general store. The roof winds up being the least of the family's troubles.
