Silver Spring Stage presents The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh, directed by Craig Mummey and produced by Pauline Griller-Mitchell and Amy Sullivan, an engrossing and provocative drama that centers on a writer in an unnamed totalitarian state who is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders. Milwaukee Symphony Presents William Walton's Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario, 3/19

Marking the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Edo de Waart will present two performances of William Walton's Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario on March 19 at 8:00 p.m. and March 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Joining the orchestra for Henry V will be actor Marcus Truschinski of American Players Theatre, the Milwaukee Children's Choir Voices of ETERNA directed by Marco Melendez, and the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus directed by Lee Ericson. Walton's work will be paired with Haydn's “Drumroll” Symphony for a dramatic concert experience. (more...)

Silver Spring Stage presents 2013 One-Act Festival, an exciting collection of one-act plays, all unpublished, many by local playwrights. Each weekend features different plays that showcase humor and passion. The festival producers are Pam Burks, Jacy D'Aiutolo and Bob Scott. The 2013 One-Act Festival will perform weekends August 8 to 25. 2013 One Act Festival Silver Spring Stage is located in the Woodmoor Shopping Center, lower level (next to the CVS) at Colesville Road and University Boulevard.
