Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra (PYAO) members, ages 12 to 18, will present its 22nd Annual Festival Concert on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 300 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia. Conducted by Maestra Rosalind Erwin, the musical program will include Lee Hoiby's Overture to a Farce; Claude Debussy's Nuages et Fêtes from Noctunes; and George Gershwin's An American in Paris. The concert will feature the Young Artists Solo Competition winner -- cellist, Danny Bishop, who will perform Camille Saint-Saëns Concerto for Violoncello in A minor. Carnegie Hall Announces LINK UP School Program

Now in its 32nd season, Link Up is the longest-running school program of Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute (WMI). Designed for students in grades 3–5, the program facilitates deeper connections between the concert hall and the classroom through an instrument-focused curriculum that culminates in an annual participatory concert. This month marks the inaugural concerts of The Orchestra Swings—the first new Link Up curriculum since 2012—designed to introduce the idea of “swing” through a conversation between the symphony orchestra and a jazz septet. The nearly 15,000 New York City-area students and teachers who have adopted this program during the 2016–2017 school year will travel to Carnegie Hall for Six culminating concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on May 23, 24, and 25. Digital Product Studio and Sue Bryce Education have announced the first 'Portrait Masters Conference' to be held at the Miramonte Hotel & Spa in Palm Desert, CA. from September 10-12, 2017. Hosted by renowned portrait photographer and educator Sue Bryce, the two-day conference will be conducted by seven Master portrait photographers including Bryce, Peter Hurley, Lindsay Adler, Joel Grimes, Michele Celentano, Susan Stripling, and Kelly Brown.
