59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes Centenary Stage Company with the NYC premiere of THE ENGLISH BRIDE, written by Lucile Lichtblau and directed by Carl Wallnau. THE ENGLISH BRIDE begins performances on Wednesday, October 23 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 17. Press opening is Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; and Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM. On Sept. 27, the theatre opens the regional premiere of a sensational new drama by Bruce Graham titled The Outgoing Tide. It's first and foremost a love story - a 50 year marriage now visited by an unwelcome intruder - the loss of memory - in a deeply moving, surprisingly funny, straight talking story that runs smack dab into what happens when we know we're seeing the end of the road, how we want to deal with that and how that affects our family. Felix Ungar is an uptight neat freak who, after being thrown out by his wife, moves in with the slovenly and laid back Oscar Madison. Gypsy was inspired by the memoirs of the legendary burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee. This gripping story follows the ultimate stage mother, determined to catapult her daughters to stardom in the waning 1920s vaudeville circuit.
