CMT today announced that Chad Michael Murray ('Agent Carter,' 'Outlaws and Angels' and 'Texas Rising') will portray rock 'n' roll pioneer Sam Phillips in the upcoming scripted drama inspired by the musical 'Million Dollar Quartet.' Jennifer Holland ('American Pie Presents: The Book of Love,' 'American Horror Story') will play Sam's devoted wife Becky Phillips, while Margaret Anne Florence ('Inside Amy Schumer,' and '30 Rock')is set to play his assistant-turned-girlfriend, Marion Keisker. The back-to-back premiere episodes averaged a .30 rating among Adults 18-49, delivering particularly strong across male demos according to Nielsen Media Research.* 'The Dude Perfect Show' ranked #2 across cable in its timeslot for Men 12-17 with an impressive 1.29 rating, and is the network's highest rated original series premiere ever among Teens 12-17 earning a .79 rating. MARY POPPINS Delights at Waterville Opera House

A full house of children and adults greeted the Disney musical Mary Poppins with exuberant delight at the historic Waterville Opera House this weekend. And, indeed, the elaborate production of the familiar classic had many pleasures to offer. Directed by Debra Susi with choreography by Adam P. Blais, the staging was lively and the dancing serviceable, sometimes sparkling, while the moments of flight (facilitated by Foy) elicited the appropriate gasps and applause. The atmospheric production, despite slowing the action in the scene changes on several occasions, boasted a painted drop set with moveable furniture units and a colorful, magical lighting design by Chad Lefebvre, who created the storybook palette in pastel pinks, greens, blues, and lavenders. Travis M. Grant supplied the lavish, elegantly designed and detailed costumes, and Jayson Murray insured a well-balanced acoustic with his sound design. (more...)
