SoHo Playhouse's International Fringe Encore Series

Eric Bogosian’s 1 +1, a new play, will have its off-Broadway premiere at SoHo Playhouse. Performances begin February 23 and run through March 19. Opening night is set for February 27.

SoHo Playhouse has released tickets for the 2022 International Fringe Encore Series. The annual series features some of the best productions from fringe theater festivals across the globe, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, Brighton Fringe, Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Hollywood Fringe & more.

SoHo Playhouse has announced 9 winners from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, Brighton Fringe, Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Hollywood Fringe, and Edmonton Fringe, as part of The International Fringe Encore Series.

SoHo Playhouse announces their 15th season of The International Fringe Encore Series, featuring some of the best productions from fringe theater festivals across the globe. The series is curated by SoHo Playhouse Artistic Director, Darren Lee Cole, Britt LaField (SoHo Playhouse), Scott Morfee (Barrow Street Theatre), Christina Olson (Barrow Street Theatre), Matthew Quinn (Theatre Asylum).

The Museum of Modern Art will present Wolfgang Tillmans: To  look without fear, the artist's first museum survey in New York, from September 12, 2022,  through January 1, 2023, in the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Center for Special  Exhibitions.

This year’s Series marks a return of the world’s best emerging theater to New York City and the SoHo Playhouse, with at least one production chosen from Fringe Festivals throughout North America.

Hershey Felder returns to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Artswith Beethoven, directed by Joel Zwick, from July 27 to August 12, 2018. This new production is based on the original Aus dem Schwarzspanierhausby Dr. Gerhard von Breuning with text by Felder and features some of Beethoven's greatest compositions from his keyboard works such as the "Emperor Concerto" to the 5thand 9thSymphonies, his keyboard sonatas, and chamber music. The Samantha F. Voxakis, Karen Racanelli and Erik Carstensen production is an extraordinary one-man musical play that brings the composer to life as it dramatizes the true story of a Viennese doctor who spent his boyhood by the Maestro's side as the son of Beethoven's best friend.

Remaining show are Fruit Flies Like a Banana: World Tour, Kafika and Son, Just Like Life and Turbulence!

British-Nigerian, former U.S. model Phina Oruche is bringing her highly acclaimed one-woman show IDENTITY CRISIS to New York City's historic SoHo Playhouse as a part of the 12th Annual Fringe Encore Series.  Identity Crisis is a comic tale that examines Oruche's own observations on what others have made of her black identity as she worked her way through being a fashion model, actress, radio presenter and writer in a world of fickle media. The SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) announced today that tickets are on sale for the next show in its fall 2012 lineup: Ingenious Nature. Ingenious Nature is a new theatrical mix-tape, written and performed by Baba Brinkman, the Canadian rap artist, writer, and creator of The Canterbury Tales Remixed ("Delightful!" The New York Times) and The Rap Guide to Evolution (2011 Drama Desk Award Nominee), both of which played at the SoHo Playhouse in 2011. Ingenious Nature begins previews on Friday, November 23rd, opens Wednesday, December 5th and closes Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the return of actor, playwright and Steinway concert artist Hershey Felder in a trio of his critically-acclaimed solo shows. Hershey Felder as George Gershwin Alone delighted San Diego audiences in 2006 and 2008 and due to popular demand will be revived for 13 performances from July 1 - 10. Felder will lead audiences on a musical journey through a century of American music in Hershey Felder in Concert: The Great American Songbook Sing-Along from July 11 - 17. The latest addition to Felder's ambitious 'Composers Sonata,' Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein, will receive its Globe debut from July 22 - Aug. 28. Previews run July 22 - July 28. Opening night is July 29. Both George Gershwin Alone and Maestro are directed by Joel Zwick. All three events will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
