While Grunstein is distinguished for her interpretation of Bach's works, described as 'tempestuous' and 'imbued with a luminous calm', the praise she has received is not limited to her performances of this composer.

John Prine won “Artist of the Year” at last night's Americana Music Honors & Awards. This is Prine's third time receiving the prestigious award following previous wins in 2017 and 2005.  

The UK produced horror drama, RedCon-1, from executive producer Carlos Gallardo (Desperado, El Mariachi, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), producer Frank Miller (Sin City; A dame to kill for and co-creater of Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles) and directed by Chee Keong Cheung (Underground, Bodyguard: A New Beginning) will premier in UK cinemas later this month. 

Over the course of their three-decade career, Nashville's Los Straitjackets have established themselves as America's premier surf rock group. While the band has a handful of albums that range from covers of surf rock staples to slamming originals, Los Straitjackets have released various Christmas albums and singles to much critical acclaim. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year for many people. It's that season when people dress in glitzy couture and do all kinds of fun stuff. I'm a big fan of theatrical spectacle, and right now at Fisher Theatre's Broadway In Detroit CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND is the dazzling feast for the eyes and ears. In many ways it is similar to the production shows often seen in Branson, but this troupe has come to us. There are five main singers and more than a dozen chorus who dance, sing, and some who even ice skate.

The Broadway Boys will once again host Broadway's favorite holiday party and concert with the 10th Annual BROADWAY SINGS FOR TOYS: A Benefit for Toys for Tots, Monday Dec 11th at 6:30pm. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has a number of traditions that theatre fans look forward to every year. To raise money for numerous causes, the organization sponsors such special events as Broadway Backwards, the Broadway Flea Market, and Gypsy of the Year. In the midst of the fall/winter collection period is another beloved tradition: Carols for a Cure, a collection of Broadway casts singing holiday songs, now in its nineteenth year. This season's merry offering includes a blend of classic carols, modern songs, and wholly new compositions written specifically for this album.

The Australian Ballet opens its 2018 season with Murphy, a tribute to the country's greatest choreographer Graeme Murphy who celebrates his milestone 50-year career in ballet. Murphy began his dance career in The Australian Ballet's corps de ballet, made his first work for the company's Choreographic Workshop in 1971, and went on to become artistic director of Sydney Dance Company for 31 years. Murphy brings together a diverse selection of works by the master storyteller, showcasing the bold originality, wit and poetic movement that have earned him a peerless place in Australian dance history. His exquisite retelling of the Firebird story will be paired with highlights from his incandescent career. The Murphy program will light up the stage in Melbourne at Arts Centre Melbourne from 16 to 26 March 2018, and in Sydney at Sydney Opera House from 6 to 23 April 2018.
