Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are open this February with a full slate of nightly performances! 

Having had to shut down the production of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park at final dress rehearsal in March 2020, Trish Wadley Productions and David Adkin, in association with Park Theatre, have announced that the production, originally planned for the play's 10th anniversary year, will open at the venue in March.

Reprising their roles from the 2019-2020 season are Danielle Wade as Cady Heron, Megan Masako Haley as Gretchen Wieners, Jonalyn Saxer as Karen Smith, Mary Kate Morrissey as Janis Sarkisian, Eric Huffman as Damian Hubbard, Adante Carter as Aaron Samuels, Kabir Bery as Kevin G. and Lawrence E. Street as Mr. Duvall.

The Heart Of It will be premiered at London's iconic Riverside Studios, which this week announced its relaunch after a five-year redevelopment.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's (CSO) Multicultural Awareness Council (MAC) presents a special performance at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center (NURFC) at 3 pm on Sunday, October 27. The concert features works by MAC Music Innovator and composer Mark Lomax, II, performed with members of the CSO. This event is open to the public and free with museum admission.

The cast of characters in Sarah Ruhl's THE CLEAN HOUSE, which opens the 2019-2020 Portland Stage season, leads anything but tidy lives. The 2004 play, which received its world premiere at the Yale Repertory Theatre, is a metaphorically absurdist exploration of neuroses, obsessions, and the quest for laughter and love. The drama which employs a kind of a?oemagical realisma?? brings together five quirky characters who only find their humanity as their neat little lives unravel and they allow chaos, passion, empathy, laughter, and tears to fill their souls.

As previously announced, MainStage Irving*Las Colinas has recently leased the former Texas Musicians Museum (222 E. Irving Blvd, Irving TX 75060), with the newly-titled MainStage 222 building set to officially open on October 3rd. Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and its Premier Partner Saint Luke's Health System presented "Music from the Heart," a special pipe organ concert attended by 1,000 people on Sunday, May 12 at 4 p.m. in Helzberg Hall. Music selections highlighting the many shades of love were performed on the Kauffman Center's spectacular pipe organ by Jan Kraybill, international concert artist and the Kauffman Center's organ conservator.

Curio Theatre Company closes its season out with a classic work by William Shakespeare and a trial of a new ticketing initiative. The 2018-2019 will close with a new production of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. This story of forgiveness, folly, and redemption will start previews April 24. It will open Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. Industry Night is Monday April 29 at 8 p.m. There is a matinee Saturday, May 11 at 2 p.m. With this show, Curio wanted to look at ways to provide quality theatre programming at a fraction of a cost to the community. The company has introduced CuriosiTix: PLAY It Forward. With this initiative, Curio hopes to welcome new audience members that may have shied away from theatre previously due to financial constraints thereby creating a patron base that represents the evolving neighborhood of West Philadelphia.
