City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh’s home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre’s 48th season of bold, new works, beginning in September 2022. City Theatre’s second season post-pandemic shutdown will feature five plays with first-time and returning artists, plus special events.

The Kennedy Center announces it has reached a three-year agreement with its stage crew, members of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 22. Resolution was reached today with the stagehands after mutual agreement on wages, benefits, work rules and a clarification of jurisdiction with regard to non-theater work at the Kennedy Center. 

Seattle Rep today publicly announced its three-year plan to remodel the Bagley Wright Theater in an all-out effort to make a visit to the venue a more welcoming and accessible experience for all. This remodel will take advantage of the theater's unprecedented closure during the pandemic to accomplish the most complicated elements of the remodel plan in advance of a 2022 reopening.  

The National Theatre has today announced its programming until the start of next year with productions on all three South Bank stages as well as three major UK tours, two productions on Broadway, a return to cinemas, and a new feature film to be broadcast on television this autumn. In the week the theatre reopened for audiences again, six new productions were announced, and five productions halted by the pandemic were confirmed to return to the South Bank.  

Page 73 has announced Bleu Beckford-Burrell, Marvin González De León, Jessica Huang, April Ranger, and Haygen-Brice Walker as finalists for the Page 73 Playwriting Fellowship. Page 73 is, for the first time in the award’s history, providing an honorarium of $1,000 for all finalists.
