The Shelter Presents GHOST LIGHT, Beginning 2/21

The Off-Broadway theatre company The Shelter - an ensemble of writers, directors, actors and designers developing original works for the stage - will present the world premiere of their newest work, GHOST LIGHT, a collection of six original short plays performed on a bare stage below a single light. Preview performances of GHOST LIGHT begin February 21 prior to an official press opening of February 23 at the Gloria Maddox Theatre (151 West 26th Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001) in Manhattan.

The night started off with original compositions ("High," "Summer Feeling," and "Nothing You Do," among others) and a few show tunes from two smash Broadway shows ("Burn the Floor," "Rock of Ages"): Mig Ayesa, 'Rock Star: INXS' finalist-turned-bona fide Broadway rock star, dishing out hard rock, soulful vocals while playing the keyboard; Jon Skibic, "Rock of Ages" guitarist, strumming his electric guitar while listening closely to Ayesa - both perfectly played in sync.

Elixir Productions Theatre Company is teaming up with Babeland and the LGBT Community Center to celebrate sexual expression and support community with the FringeNYC run of Alice & The Bunny Hole. Following each performance, the cast will present a high-quality, Babeland sex toy to a lucky audience member who purchased his or her ticket in advance. Purchasing advance tickets for the first performance tonight, August 13 at 8:00 pm will also benefit the LGBT Community Center in the form of a $5 donation per presold ticket.
