Disney Theatrical Productions and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announced that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public on Friday, November 16, 2018. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Fox Cities P.A.C. stage Thursday, Feb. 7 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, Feb. 24.

Disney Theatrical Productions and The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall announced today that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public on Friday, November 2, 2018. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31. The official opening night for Disney's THE LION KING is Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The Anchoress, a new monodrama by composer David Ludwig, "a composer with something urgent to say" (Philadelphia Inquirer), will have its world premiere today, October 17, 2018 at 7:30 PM at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia under the auspices of the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. Goodman Theatre revives Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years, Emily Mann's 'warming theatrical event' (Variety)that celebrates the lives of 'two strong, vibrant women dispensing joy and wisdom' (Chicago Tribune). Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production features Ella Joyce and Marie Thomas as the Delany centenarians, Bessie (1891 - 1995) and Sadie (1889 -1999), respectively, as they trace their lives in a heartfelt reflection of their family history and triumphs over prejudices in times of social unrest.

Casting has been announced for the Orlando return engagement of Disney's The Lion King. The show's first appearance in the Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and it's third time to Orlando, the four-week engagement runs from February 14 through March 11.

St. Ann's Warehouse presents the American Premiere of Schaub hne Berlin's Returning to Reims, an adaptation of French author Didier Eribon's memoir of the same name, directed by Berlin auteur Thomas Ostermeier, February 4-25. This production marks the first collaboration between St. Ann's and the Schaub hne, whose production of Richard III recently garnered acclaim in BAM's Next Wave Festival.

Duncan Alanson Spencer (1911-1999), the legendary Scenic Artist behind some of Hollywood's greatest films, will be honored by the Art Directors Guild Gallery 800 (ADG, IATSE Local 800) in a special exhibit entitled The Golden Brush: A Tribute to Duncan Alanson Spencer. Spencer's career spanned over 38 years and over 400 movies including The Wizard of Oz, White Christmas, Meet Me in St. Louis and Ziegfeld Follies. The exhibit opens with a hosted opening reception on Saturday, February 10 from 5 - 9pm and will run through Feb. 10, 2018.
