Historical themes have always been incorporated into stage shows, from classic Broadway musicals to contemporary productions. The actors who will be playing the five Osmond brothers in the world premiere of THE OSMONDS: A New Musical are Ryan Anderson as Merrill Osmond, Jamie Chatterton as Alan Osmond, Alex Lodge as Jay Osmond, Danny Nattrass as Wayne Osmond and Joseph Peacock as Donny Osmond. 

Initial casting has been announced for THE OSMONDS: A New Musical, which will make its world premiere this February at Curve Leicester. 

Actor, presenter and winner of Strictly Come Dancing Ore Oduba (Curtains / Grease) who has been delighting audiences and receiving rave reviews as Brad Majors, will continue to don his fishnets as he extends his role in Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show.

The acclaimed cast will include actress and presenter Preeya Kalidas as 'Margo Leadbetter', Dominic Rowan as 'Jerry Leadbetter', and Sally Tatum as 'Barbara Good', joining the previously announced actor and comedian Rufus Hound as 'Tom Good'. Also featured will be Nigel Betts and Tessa Churchard.

From their star residency on The Andy Williams Show from 1962 to 1969, to pop stars and 'Osmondmania' from 1971 to 1975, to the arrival of The Donny & Marie Show, a popular variety TV show, from 1976 to 1979, The Osmonds lived a remarkable life recording chart-topping albums, selling out vast arena concerts and making record-breaking TV shows - until one bad decision cost them everything. 

Under this new venture, Club Fugazi—the former home of Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon—will become the site of a brand-new theatrical experience from the world-renowned circus and arts collective, The 7 Fingers.

There is a particular snobbery surrounding musical theatre: critics say that in a moment of high drama, crisis or emotion, the most unrealistic thing to do would be to break into song.
