Clubbed Thumb has announced the world premiere of The Woman’s Party. Originally slated to premiere as part of the 2020 Summerworks Festival, the piece will now premiere virtually. The Woman’s Party has been divided into three 30-minute episodes, which were filmed over the course of four weeks remotely from each actor’s home.

The Museum of Arts and Design celebrates the craft of artist-made jewelry with MAD About Jewelry 2020, virtual shows and sales of more than 40 of the world's most innovative contemporary jewelry artists. Small groups of artists will show their work on the museum's website, then every two weeks, the artists will rotate and jewelry by a new group will be featured for sale.  In mid-November, MAD About Jewelry 2020 will culminate with a presentation of work from all the 2020 artists, including new work, online through the end of the year.

The play, opening on September 6 and running until September 29, 2019 is directed by the award winning Patrick Nims. Two works representing the sacred and the secular, and also representing the Los Angeles Master Chorale's past and present, will be performed in Walt Disney Concert on Sunday, March 17 at 7 PM. Maurice Duruflé's Requiem was written by the French composer in 1947 and has become one of the most-beloved choral compositions of the 20th century. The Requiem has been given storied performances by the Master Chorale since the 1960s. Dale Trumbore describes her work How to Go On as a “secular requiem” and the work — commissioned by the non-profit, Southern California-based Choral Arts Initiative — was premiered in July 2016 and subsequently saw Trumbore awarded the ASCAP Young Composers Award in 2017. The March 17 concert will be the Los Angeles Master Chorale's first performance of the work.

After growing up subjected to her father's disinterest and strong resentment, a young woman in the 1850s discovers what love is in her journey towards independence, growth and strength, without an impactful female role model in her life. Directed by Deputy Artistic Director Seema Sueko, The Heiress runs February 8 - March 10, 2019 in the Fichandler Stage.
