The course of true love never did run smooth, Lysander tells his distraught lover Hermia at the beginning of A Midsummer Night?s Dream. Mischief, mayhem, moonbeams, and magic potions abound as four young Athenian lovers encounter more than they imagined possible in one of Shakespeare?s best known romantic comedies.

The four-day Kriti Festival is slated to include participant panels, author readings, writing workshops, publishing and marketing seminars, live performances, and question and answer sessions with literary agents and editors. Desi is a person of South Asian ancestry (living in South Asia or the South Asian diaspora), and kriti is pronounced 'kree-thee.'

The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, announced today the 54th Annual OBIE awards will take place on Monday, May 18,2009 at the newly landmarked Webster Hall in the East Village. The OBIES will be co-hosted by Martha Plimpton and Daniel Breaker at an invitation-only ceremony. A list of notable presenters will be released soon.

Spring Awakening, the 8-time Tony Award? winning Broadway musical, will open at PlayhouseSquare's PalaceTheatre and play for 16 performances, March 3-15. Spring Awakening is part of the KeyBank Broadway Series at PlayhouseSquare. When first presented in 1992, the play won the OBIE Award for Best New American Play, was nominated for a Drama Desk, and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
