LA Community Theatre's Avenue Q is now on stage! Check out the photos below! This puppet-filled comedy, with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and book by Jeff Whitty, Avenue Q is an 'autobiographical and biographical' coming-of-age parable, addressing the issues and anxieties associated with entering adulthood. The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to honor Michigan native and Tony Award-winning producer of 'Hamilton,' Jeffrey Seller, with the 2019 Apple Award on Wednesday, March 27 at the Fisher Theatre. A private, pre-show reception with Mr. Seller will be held at the Fisher Theatre before guests attend 'Hamilton' that evening at 8 p.m.

Alabama-based husband-and-wife folk/rock duo Martha's Trouble (aka Rob and Jen Slocumb) will be setting sail October 6 through October 13, 2019 on their first-ever concert cruise.  Fans of the pair's music are encouraged to purchase a cabin and join them for a very special, exclusive music experience on the high seas on board the Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas. The San Diego Theatre Critics Circle has announced the nominations for its 2018 Craig Noel Awards. Now in its 17th year, the Craig Noel Awards honor the achievements of professional theaters in San Diego County. The nominees are chosen by a nine-member body of professional critics who write for San Diego newspapers, magazines, online publications and blogs.

The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance kicks off its fall season with the BlakTinX Performance Series from October 19 to November 20, 2018.  This annual multidisciplinary festival inaugurated in 2002 celebrates art and performance by Black, Latinx and artists of color. The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison & Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been leading the gender parity conversation and championing women in the professional theatre for over 35 years, will present its first Oral History Project of the 2018-19 season with Tony-nominated actress Lois Smith on Monday, October 22 starting at 6pm in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts (111 Amsterdam Avenue at 65th Street). After their opening night was rained out on Friday, July 20th, the diverse and youthful cast of Hairspray at The Jenny Wiley Theatre, an outdoor amphitheatre in Prestonsburg, Kentucky--population 3,255 -- celebrated their work and art by transforming a local pizzeria into a piano bar and joyfully singing through a concert of the show for an enthusiastic local crowd. Pittsburgh CLO's THE FULL MONTY will take it all off at the Benedum Center this summer July 6 - 15. My True Colors Festival (MTCF) is pleased to present its lineup for 2018, including Saturday Church (June 14, 7 PM), a mini musical about a shy 14-year-old-boy struggling with gender identity and religion. He escapes the burden of his new responsibilities as "man of the house" after the death of his father and finds his passion in the process through voguing and the NYC ball scene, with the help of a vibrant transgender community where he is enlisted into Saturday Church, a program for at-risk L.G.B.T.Q. youth.

Eastbound Theatre, a division Milford Arts Council, is thrilled to present the final show of its 24th season, the compelling and complex Third, by Wendy Wasserstein, directed by Nancy A. Herman. This August, New York City will host the first ever Classical Bridge, an international music festival, academy and conference designed to build bridges through the music.
