DJ Anjali and the Incredible Kid have played a trans formative role in the Portland, Oregon club scene for over a decade, presiding over two of Portland's longest-running and most successful dance parties, as well as hosting a cult radio show on KBOO community radio. They are most known for incinerating dance floors with the South Asian sounds of Bhangra and Bollywood, but the duo scours the globe for any hard-hitting music that combines local musical traditions with window-rattling production. After making a name for themselves in their hometown's raucous house party circuit, DJ Anjali & The Incredible Kid introduced the Portland, Oregon nightclub scene to the sounds of Bhangra and Bollywood on New Year's Eve 2000. After a series of residencies, beginning with a six-month residency at the legendary Blackbird, the duo began hosting their ANDAZ dance parties in July of 2002. The party's focus on hardcore Panjabi Bhangra and the latest electronic confections from the Bollywood film industry continue to pack the dance floor after nine years.

On September 13th, 2011, San Francisco's Girls will release their second album and third record Father, Son, Holy Ghost on Fantasytrashcan/Turnstile. The album comes two years after their debut (Album), and one year after the follow-up EP (Broken Dreams Club). It is their most accomplished to date.  On the third anniversary of the birth of Girls as a band Christopher Owens and Chet White found themselves entering the studio to begin recording their second album. More a collection of gear than a studio, recording took place in the bowels of a San Francisco office building. The two teamed up with new drummer Darren Weiss and guitarist John Anderson assembling performances and ultimately creating new music and musical relationships to carry the band through its newest incarnation.  Quickly the record took shape and with the luxury of time and an outstanding and vast collection of amplifiers as well as tube and transistor based recording equipment the sound was formed. Less explorative than previous records the sound is built on the ideas and ears of a much more confident band. And the outcome is their most important release to date.

How it works: Three actors voice dozens of characters, one Foley artist creates hundreds of
sounds, and one keyboardist accompanies with thousands of notes while more than 1,000
hand-drawn, full-color, hi-rez, blow-your-mind comic-book images blast from a screen the size of the proscenium. It's family-friendly and truly spectacular.

The story: The year is 1933. Pulitzer-winner Molly Sloan and her intrepid assistant Timmy Mendez have traveled to Transylvania to meet a key contact for a story about illegal pelt-smuggling. As the crackling ?replace warms the room against the blizzard outside, their contact, Vlad, tells them that their story is at a dead end: all the smugglers have either disappeared or been killed by ... something. There are rumors of monsters in the Carpathian Mountains. Vlad hands Molly and Timmy a map of something called the "Central Hive" when suddenly an assassin appears in the doorway and Vlad falls dead, a knife in his back. Almost as suddenly, a mysterious and handsome stranger appears behind the assassin, throws the assassin into the roaring ?re and tells Molly and Timmy to run for their lives. Pulitzer-prize-winning reporter Molly Sloan and her assistant Timmy Mendez have stumbled upon the story of the century.

Armed with a trademarked style, incomparable delivery, impeccable comedic timing and signature voice, Atlanta native Chris Tucker has launched a career that has garnered international acclaim. Born on August 31, 1972, Tucker, the youngest of six children, grew up as a natural actor and comedian, best known for his impromptu classroom performances and spontaneous comedic satires. It was in the classroom where he found his first audience, which fueled a dream that would one day lead him to superstar status.  Beyond the popularity and notoriety of the previous years' films, it was the 1998 blockbuster hit Rush Hour that amassed a global following that catapulted Tucker to international stardom. The action comedy, starring Tucker and martial artist Jackie Chan, would transcend audiences and surpass box office records, making the feature length film a certified success. The widely popular movie spawned an even more popular sequel further establishing Tucker as one of the highest paid actors in history. The third installment of the mega hit went on to debut as the number one movie in America.

In addition to his franchise success on the silver screen, Tucker continues to lead numerous humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors, nationally and internationally. In 2006, Tucker founded The Chris Tucker Foundation. The foundation's mission to impact youth, both in the U.S. and abroad, has assembled community leaders, public figures and corporate executives to address critical issues and needs. Through his efforts and celebrity status, he continues to serve as a role model and mentor to inspire future generations.  In 2009, Chris was presented with an honorary Doctorate Degree from Talladega College for his professional and international philanthropic endeavors.
