Northwest Savoyards and Trinity Lutheran College Present How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

As an award-winning play, a Hollywood movie, and an Broadway musical, this comedy continues to be much loved by audiences who understand that business can be – well – a little absurd, press notes state. The music and lyrics are by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Frank Loesser. The book is by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert and is based on the original book, first published in 1952 by Shepherd Mead. Enjoyed by generations in various versions, the production now celebrates its 50th Anniversary, and enters its second year as a new Broadway production.

Its ambitious, adorable hero, J. Pierrepont Finch, finds his own creative way to climb the corporate ladder. Finch is advised that while having an education, intelligence, and ability is best, "…remember that thousands have reached the top without them. You, too, can be among the lucky few." Clerks and executives alike continue their individual attempts to arrive at the highest level of corporate achievement. Finch has us laughing and jabbing each other as he enjoys a riotous ascent to the top, leaving his would-be-colleagues in the proverbial dust.

For the first time, a unique collaboration has been formed between Everett's community musical theater group, Northwest Savoyards, and Trinity Lutheran College
