In response to strong ticket sales and critical acclaim, ArtsWest will extend the run of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts through Sunday, October 23. The additional performances are scheduled for Thursday 10/20 through Saturday 10/22 at 7:30pm and Sunday 10/23 at 3pm. Tickets for the added performances can be purchased immediately at ArtsWest.org.

Ghosts, directed by ArtsWest Artistic Director Mathew Wright from a recent adaptation by acclaimed director Richard Eyre, has garnered powerful praise from critics: "[A] rare chance to be acquainted with a powerful theatrical touchstone, a keen study in the destructive power of false values and moral cowardice," wrote Misha Berson of the Seattle Times; "A haunting triumph"- "ArtsWest's current production is one that would make Ibsen himself stand and applaud," wrote Ameila Reynolds of Broadway World.

Critics took special note of Suzanne Bouchard's lead performance as the widow Helene Alving: "Bouchard's performance sets a high benchmark for the theater season," wrote Paul Torres of Seattle Gay News; Misha Berson of the Seattle Times wrote that"Bouchard...commands the stage with her character's pride, determination, regret, anger and, finally, her loss."

The success of Ghosts arrives alongside a record-breaking moment at ArtsWest, which saw the subscriber goal for 2016-2017 surpassed before the season even began. After Ghosts, the 2016-17 season continues with Peter and the Starcatcher (November 17 - December 23), Mothers and Sons (January 19 - February 11), Milk Like Sugar (March 2 - March 25), Frozen (April 20 - May 14), and concludes with Sweeney Todd (June 1 - July 1).
