Next up at Lucky Penny Productions is the hilarious Christopher Durang comedy, BEYOND THERAPY. opening on November 6th and running Thursdays @ 7 PM, Fridays and Saturdays @ 8 PM and Sunday afternoons at 2 PM, through November 22.

BEYOND THERAPY is one of Christopher Durang's most produced plays. Long before he wrote "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike," winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, he penned a string of sensationally odd comedies in the 1980s and 1990s.

In this story, Bruce and Prudence are deeply into therapy. Prudence's male therapist and Bruce's female therapist want want them to find mates by placing personal ads in the local papers. They do, but when the two meet they seem ill matched. Bruce doesn't know how to handle poor nervous Prudence and Prudence doesn't know what to make of her unpredictable and possibly insane new boyfriend. And then there's Bob to consider?

This delightful 1981 Off Broadway hit moved successfully to Broadway in 1982.

This production is directed by Barry Martin and features Chad Yarish as "Bruce", Heather Buck as "Prudence", Beverly Wiles as "Charlotte", Mike Schaeffer* as "Stuart", Danny Quezada as "Bob" and Tony Kelly as "The Waiter". *Mike Schaeffer appears courtesy of Actors Equity Association.

All performances are at the Lucky Penny Community Arts Center, 1758 Industrial Way, Suite 208, Napa. Tickets may purchased at www.luckypennynapa.com, by calling 266-6035, or at the door one hour before performances.
