25 highly talented young singers took the stage before a completely sold-out crowd at the Lucky Penny Community Arts Center on Sunday evening for the third annual "I'm the Greatest Future Star!" musical theatre competition for kids.

Noah Goldman of Napa took the top prize for the Elementary School group with his rousing rendition of "If I Were A Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof, accompanied by his voice teacher Andrew Moore. Noah is in 5th grade at Blue Oak School and recently won an Arty Award for his role of Oliver in Lucky Penny's production of Oliver!.

The winner of the Middle School group was Josie Goldfarb of St. Helena, where she is in 7th grade at Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School. Her voice teacher, Ted Von Pohle, accompanied her on "Quiet" from Matilda The Musical.

Angel Wilensky, a student of voice teacher Vivian McLaughlin and accompanied by Craig Burdette, captured the High School category prize by singing "Safer" from the musical First Date. Angel lives in Vallejo and is a junior at Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy.

Runners-Up prizes were presented to Zahara Lucas (Elementary School) of Angwin, in 5th grade at PUC Elementary and a voice student at Studio G School of Music and Theatre, who sang "Good Morning, Baltimore" from Hairspray; Kailie Devigal (Middle School), in 6th grade at Benicia Middle School and a voice student of Vivian McLaughlin, who performed "What Did I Ever See In Him" from Bye Bye Birdie; and Carmel Tennenbaum (High School) of Napa, a freshman at Early College Rodriguez High in Fairfield and a voice student of Betty Schneider in San Francisco, who sang "Some Things Are Meant To Be" from the musical Little Women.

Winners were presented with $100 each and the Runners-Up each received $50.

Hosting the evening were Lucky Penny Co-founders Taylor Bartolucci and Barry Martin. Judges for the event were Staci Arriaga, Dyan McBride, and Scottie Woodard, all well-known Bay Area theater professionals.
