Imagination Theater today announced Camelot, opening Friday, March 23 running through Sunday, April 15.   

Shows are 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays with matinees at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.    

The show begins with King Arthur nervously preparing to meet his new Queen, Guinevere. Initially, Guinevere tries to escape the marriage, but the two soon fall in love to the pleasure of Arthur's wise tutor, Merlyn. In order to bring upon peace and stability in the kingdom, Arthur establishes the Knights of the Round Table. Included amongst these knights, is the most famous of them all, Lancelot. Soon, Lancelot and Queen Guinevere fall in love. Their affair is brought public with the help of Arthur's evil illegitimate son Mordred and his aunt, the sorceress Morgan le Fey. As a result, peace ends and war breaks out in as Arthur's troops fight Lancelot's army.  

Tickets, $10-$17, can be purchased online (PayPal) at www.it-tickets.org. and also through the box office at (530) 642-0404.  Group tickets must be purchased by phone.  Imagination Theater, located on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, brings quality, live, local community theater to Placerville and El DoradoCounty.
