Dylan Moran

Called "the Oscar Wilde of Comedy," by the London Evening News, Moran is universally considered one of the foremost comics of his generation. With his unpredictable, bizarre and often cruel (but painfully funny) comedy, Moran sees through the joys and disappointments of human existence with the sensibility and intense perception of a man teetering on the edge.

Here's what critics are saying about Moran:

"Dylan Moran makes you laugh so hard you have to put your head between your knees and gasp for air!" - The Observer

"A masterclass in standup...We should be grateful to be allowed to watch him at work!"
- Tom Chivers, Telegraph.co.uk

"Moran hasn't got any happier and long may it last!" - Sharon Lougher, Metro

Moran first came to public attention when he was the recipient of Channel 4's "So You Think You're Funny" in Great Britain in 1993. In 1996, Moran won an Edinburgh Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier Comedy Awards) for his stand-up routine at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, becoming the youngest person to ever win the award (at age 24). In 1997, Moran launched his first major one-man show, Gurgling for Money. Since then, he has toured the world with sold-out performances of his other shows, Monster I, Monster II and Like, Totally. Moran is best known in the United States for his roles in several well known films, including Notting Hill, the cult classic Shaun of the Dead, Michael Winterbottom's Tristram Shandy: A c*ckand Bull Story and David Schwimmer's Run, Fatboy, Run.

Comedian Barry Murphy will present the opening act. Murphy was recognized as one of the 10 Kings of Irish Comedy over the last twenty years by Dublin's Hot Press magazine. In 2009, he was nominated for an Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA) for Script Television for his work on the drama "Little White Lie."
