"On Broadway" SONY CD Release
David Campbell returns to his roots with the new album On Broadway (Masterworks/2010) and SF debut. The Masterworks Broadway recording includes musical theater classics plus the world premiere recording of "Goodbye" from the Broadway-bound musical Catch Me If You Can, written by Hairspray's Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by Broadway maestro Rob Fisher, On Broadway combines songs from Campbell's starring roles in Australia alongside musical theater standards.

What is "By Any Other Name"? Given that songwriters can name their songs the same as other tunes already published, there are many songs with the same names - take "Time After Time" written in 1947 by Sammy Cahn & Julie Styne or was it written by Cyndi Lauper in 1984? How about "All By Myself" written by Irving Belrin in 1921, or maybe that was written by Eric Carmen in 1975? In her new show, Kosut and her band will mix up unexpected arrangements of jazz, pop and folk.

The group's 1977 LP, Secrets, was certified gold in the US, as were 1978's Loveshine, 1979's Candy, and 1980's Spirit of Love.
