Lamb's Players Theatre presents the San Diego premiere of Lauren Gunderson's play SILENT SKY. BroadwayWorld has a first look below!

Part celestial romance, part true story of discovery, SILENT SKY is the story Henrietta Swan Levitt and the forgotten women of the Harvard Observatory who opened our eyes to wonders of the cosmos. Called "computers" for their math skills and work, these women were not allowed to use the Observatory's telescope, but would study and catalogue the photographic plates.

It was their discoveries in the early 1900's that enabled astronomers like Edwin Hubble to calculate the distance between Earth and remote stars and galaxies, and to begin to understand the vastness of our Universe.
