Mickey and Judy may have had a barn to perform their summer shows, but the kids of Rockland and Westchester counties have many more options when it comes to performing. Children's summer theater is more than a place for kids to learn the craft of theater while off from school. it is also a wonderful alternative from movies and swimming pools when families are looking for events to entertain their children during the summer.

Actor/director Todd Graff created the indie film CAMP in 2003 based on a musical theater camp he attended as a child right up the NY Thruway. That movie had a few young actors that later showed up on the Broadway stage with Robin DeJesus and Sasha Allen. As you attend these camp live performances, you never know what future Broadway stars you may be witnessing in your own backyard.
