Pleasantville theater company Arc Stages announces THE APPLE AND OTHER SLIP-UPS to open their second season for their professional company, The Next Stage. The Next Stage premiered last year with John Cariani's LOVE/SICK and will focus on showcasing new, innovative work by a wide variety of exciting and talented writers. It is the third wing of a company that also includes a thriving Educational Stage and Community Stage.

THE APPLE AND OTHER SLIP-UPS will be directed by Stephanie Kovacs Cohen, musically directed by Marcus Baker, and stars Christine Cornell* and Cooper Grodin.*

Ten women. Ten stories. A history of mistakes. The Apple and Other Slip-Ups depicts ten important women in history - real and imaginary - beginning with the mother of all slip-ups: Eve and her Forbidden Fruit. The musical travels forward through time, showing key moments from the lives of such female forerunners as Joan of Arc, Pandora, the Virgin Mary, Rapunzel, and Lassie. Each song is a glimpse into each woman's struggle; the pain she endures and the lesson she learns, all to be passed on to the next in line. Apples eaten. Seeds planted.

Performances will be held at Arc Stages, located at 147 Wheeler Avenue in Pleasantville NY, on Friday, September 23 at 8pm, Saturday, September 24 at 8pm, Friday, September 30 at 8pm, Saturday, October 1 at 8pm, Sunday, October 2 at 2pm, Friday, October 7 at 8pm, and Saturday, October 8 at 8pm. Tickets are $36 for adults, $28 for students/seniors. To purchase tickets, visit www.arcstages.org or call 914-747-6206.
