International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was recently recognized among 42 Illinois law firms for "Raising the Bar" and leading the way in providing a welcoming and fair work environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees and engaging with the LGBT community. The recognition is based on information gathered from the organization's 2015 Equality Illinois Law Firm Survey.

"Greenberg Traurig remains committed to a culture of diversity and inclusiveness, and promotes equality of opportunity and dignity for all its employees. We are deeply honored to be recognized once more by Equality Illinois for our efforts," said Gregory E. Ostfeld, shareholder and co-chair of the Chicago Litigation Practice.

The mission of Equality Illinois is to build a better Illinois by advancing equal treatment and social justice through education, advocacy, and protection of the rights of the LGBT Community. It is one of the Midwest's largest and most influential LGBT civil rights organizations.

The dedicated firms were honored at a congratulatory breakfast July 21 at the Intercontinental Hotel Chicago. These firms will also be featured in the 2015 Equality Illinois "Raising the Bar" Report.
