The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is adding even more performances of Qui Nguyen's Vietgone, due to strong patron demand for tickets. Tickets for these five shows are on sale as of Thursday, July 28, at 9:30 a.m. (PST).

The added shows are Sept. 13, Sept. 18, Sept. 21, Oct. 2 and Oct. 6 at 8:00 p.m. These are in addition to the three new Vietgone performances announced last month.

"It's very encouraging to see such strong continued demand for tickets to Vietgone," said Paula Muncaster Walker, Associate Director of Marketing, Membership and Sales. "We're delighted to be able to offer more opportunities for our patrons and Members to see this production before the close of the season."

Online ordering for these performances at www.osfashland.org is encouraged as phone lines will likely be busy. For tickets, visit www.osfashland.org or call (800) 219-8161. You may also purchase in person at the OSF Box Office at 15 S. Pioneer Street in Ashland.

The 2016 Season runs until October 30. In addition to Vietgone, still running in the Festival's three theatres are Twelfth Night, Great Expectations, The Yeomen of the Guard, Roe, Hamlet, The Wiz, The Winter's Tale, Richard II and Timon of Athens.

Founded by Angus Bowmer in 1935 and winner of a 1983 Tony Award for outstanding achievement in regional theatre, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival presents an eight-month season of 11 plays that include works by Shakespeare as well as a mix of classics, musicals, and new works. The Festival also draws attendance of more than 400,000 to almost 800 performances every year and employs approximately 575 theatre professionals. In 2008, OSF launched American Revolutions: the United States History Cycle, a 10-year cycle of commissioning new plays that has already resulted in several OSF commissions finding success nationwide.
