Gallery Theater Presents NOT WAVING 7/30-8/14

Gallery Theater will present Not Waving opening July 30 and running through August 14 in the arena theater. Gabby agrees to let her adult daughter, Nicole, come live with her. Nicole, fresh from her one year stay in the mental hospital, has renewed energy and purpose and plans to break her mother out of her staid routine life. As they whirl through the city on Nicole's endless adventures, mother must learn how to cope with her troubled daughter, as daughter prepares her mother for their future together." This play contains strong language and mature subject matter: discretion is advised. Tickets are $13 for adults & $11 for student/seniors. Get your tickets now as this is only a three-weekend run.

Casting:

Two men and two women ... Mid to late 70's or who can play that age. Italian accents needed.
One man ... late 20's to early thirties.
One woman ... 20's or early 30's (ages to be determined by the fit of the man and woman).
Also needed: Lighting Designer, Tech person and Stage Manager. This show will take place in the Arena Theater.

Show Synopsis

Nick is a single, Italian-American man from New Jersey. His parents have retired and moved to Florida. That doesn't mean his family isn't still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he's been offered a dream job in Seattle which would take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. The news doesn't sit so well with them. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. The grandparents do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely - and single - Caitlin, as bait.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Sunday performances at 3:00 p.m.
