Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the 2017 Summer Season, featuring the Pittsburgh premiere of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, direct from Broadway! The New York Times raves, "AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is a triumph! Pure joy!" and The Wall Street Journal declares, "Once you've seen it, you'll find it hard to settle for less ever again." Don't miss this stunning Broadway hit when it arrives in Pittsburgh on its first national tour next summer. Pittsburgh CLO served as the lead producer on this incredible production, guaranteeing Pittsburgh audiences the chance to be among the first to enjoy AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, June 6-11, 2017.

Each show selected for the 2017 Summer Season was carefully curated from Pittsburgh CLO's Annual Audience Survey. Returning to the "waters" of the Benedum Center by popular demand is Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, June 14-25. This ravishing production made such a splash in 2013 and audiences have been asking for its return ever since!

Right at the "height" of summer in Pittsburgh will be the Pittsburgh CLO premiere of Lin-Manuel Miranda's pre-HAMILTON, ground-breaking sensation IN THE HEIGHTS, July 7-16. The Tony Award-winner for Best Musical, IN THE HEIGHTS is certain to bring the Benedum Center alive with the soulful beats of Washington Heights and beyond.

In other "news," Pittsburgh CLO will produce NEWSIES for the first time in 2017, following its Tony Award-winning Broadway run. This David and Goliath tale has been hailed as "AN INVIGORATING EXTRAVAGANZA" by TimeOut New York and as the "perfect musical for our times!" by the Star-Ledger; and is set to premiere July 18-23.

The #1 choice in this year's Audience Survey was MAMMA MIA, which will add one more to the list of Pittsburgh CLO premieres when it debuts July 28-August 6. MAMMA MIA ran for a staggering 5,773 performances on Broadway and has charmed millions of fans around the world on tour. It's no secret why one of the best-selling popular music groups of all time resulted in this Broadway juggernaut.

Bringing the Pittsburgh CLO premiere count to a total of five is Pittsburgh CLO's first production of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, set to rock the Benedum Center stage August 8-13. This legendary true story will appeal to musical theater and rock 'n roll lovers of all ages!
