Scottsdale Musical Theater Company presents the rarely-seen Tony Award-winning musical Kiss of the Spider Woman. Set in an unnamed Latin American prison, a revolutionary is thrown into a cell with a flamboyant window-dresser. While the window-dresser escapes into Hollywood fantasies featuring the dangerous and seductive Aurora, the rebel desperately tries to find a way to continue his part in the revolution. The Tony Award-winning musical is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Manuel Puig.

SMTC's cast features award-winning local favorites Matt Newhard (Valentin) and Janis Webb (Mama) with Michael Schauble (Molina), Addam Donada (Gabriel/Prisoner), Danielle Mendelson (Marta) and Lindsay Kalby as Aurora/"The Spider Woman". The rest of the cast includes Thom Ratke, Todd Corbeil, Matthew Weiderholt, Jack Rose, Devra Hock, Tina Khalil, Leeann Tegl, Zoe Skorey, Rob Allocca, and Corinne Tachuk.
