ANNIE takes place in and around NYC, in the 1930's, during the Depression.  Annie is a spunky orphan whose biggest desire is to find her parents.  By a stroke of luck, she is chosen to be the guest of billionaire, Oliver Warbucks for the Christmas holiday.  Annie melts (Daddy) Warbucks' heart, inspiring him to use his money and influence to help find Annie's parents, and to thwart the deception perpetrated by the brother of the head of the Orphanage where Annie had been staying, and his girl friend, trying to pass themselves off as Annie's parents to collect the hefty reward offered by Warbucks.  Joining the fun are a rowdy bunch of female orphans, radio personalities, FDR and his cabinet, a band of homeless folks and many denizens of New York City.
