Now in its sixth year, Scottsdale Musical Theater Company is pleased to announce its upcoming productions at their home at Tempe Center for the Arts for 2016-2017. In addition to the already announced Hello, Dolly! which opens February 3 - 6, 2016 the company is expanding its programming to include some fresh and exciting productions:

The cabaret show you never knew you wanted. Until now. Two of SMTC's popular leading men team up in an evening of laughs and larynx-defying songs, bringing their on-stage chemistry to new heights in this fun and frothy cabaret show. Part of the SMTC Cabaret Series.

KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN: THE MUSICAL
May 25 - 29, 2016
SMTC is thrilled to present this rarely-seen Kander & Ebb, Tony Award-winning musical, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Manuel Puig. The grim realities of prison and fantasy of glamorous Hollywood collide when two South American political prisoners are forced to share a jail cell. Directed by Zoni-Award winner Hector Coris.

MY FAIR LADY
August 18 - 21, 2016
Lerner & Loewe's classic musical, based on Pygmalion follows the attempts of Professor Henry Higgins to turn a Cockney flower girl into a proper English lady, with hilarious results. Filled with numerous immortal songs like "I Could Have Danced All Night", "Get Me To The Church on Time", "The Rain in Spain" and "On the Street Where You Live", My Fair Lady is a feast for any musical theater lover.

GUYS & DOLLS
January 5 - 8, 2017
Frank Loesser's timeless classic musical comedy comes to life in a big brassy production that features colorful gamblers and gorgeous chorines in this tale of love and luck set in Damon Runyon's New York. Audiences will thrill at the one-of-a-kind score featuring songs like "Luck Be A Lady Tonight", "If I Were a Bell", "I've Never Been in Love Before", and many other memorable hits.
