James Rough, associate director in the Disputes and Investigations practice at Navigant Consulting, has been voted to a three-year term on the Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) Board of Directors.

"I saw how much joy and excitement The Valley Youth Theatre brings to the community after taking my own son to see Seussical," said Rough. "He had an incredible time and I decided right then that I wanted to be part of this organization. All children should be able to see and experience the arts."

Rough, who joined Navigant in 2005, is certified as a Fraud Examiner and Compliance and Ethics Professional with over a decade of experience providing investigation, compliance, financial and accounting services to attorneys, boards of directors, and organizations domestically and abroad. He is also a published author and presenter of current trends on regulatory compliance, white collar crimes and fraud prevention.

A proud father of two, Rough is also a member of the Fundraising Task Force Committee for the Children's Museum of Phoenix, founding member of the Arizona Ethics and Compliance Council and graduated ASU magna cum laude with a BS in Economics.

VYT's Board is chaired by Colleen Gautam (Snell & Wilmer L.L.P.) and vice chaired by Frank McCune (APS). Donna Catalfio (Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A.) is secretary and Elizabeth Troutman-Lear (National Bank of Arizona) serves as treasurer. Bobb Cooper represents the theatre as its producing artistic director.

Martin Blume (Blume Skin Centre), Joe Chandler (Fennemore Craig, P.C.), Darien Evans (iMortgage), Dustin Marshall (Community Medical Clinic), Greg Gnepper (Gammage & Burnham P.L.C.), Lorna Pederson (KPMG LLP), Dana Campbell Saylor (YWCA Maricopa County), and Laura Stover (Nearhood Law Offices, PLC); Hope Ozer (CITYSunTimes) serves as Chair Emeritus.
