The inaugural Audi ART BALL presented by the AGWA Foundation and VOGUE Australia will be held on location at the Art Gallery of Western Australia from 7:00pm tonight 14 May 2016.
In a first for WA, fashion bible VOGUE Australia is co-presenting this exclusive event with the AGWA Foundation and Audi.
Guests are encouraged to weave their way through the Gallery to discover a place where the worlds of art, fashion and music collide to create a high-end spectacle never before seen in Perth.
Headliner Sneaky Sound System will be supported by Ku?ka and Triple J Unearthed High winners, Mosquito Coast.
Guests will also be treated to special performances by opera legend Teddy Tahu Rhodes courtesy of WA Opera, the Perth Symphony Orchestra, DJ Dan D Lyons (Harrison Kennedy), DJ Beryl Steep (Scarlett Stevens of San Cisco), DJ Charlie Bucket, rising acoustic star Siobahn Cotchin, Co3 Contemporary
Dance Company, a glamorous Studio 54 floorshow plus fashion moments by Jonetsu and Aurelio Costarella.
See things differently with interactive installations including a virtual reality display, nude life drawing and live art taking place throughout the State Art Collection. Indulge in the late-night Dessert Gallery or relax in the exclusive Artist's Lounge after you've explored AGWA's celebrated international exhibitions, Comic Tragics and Sacred and Profane.
"The Audi ART BALL 2016 is an exciting initiative for the AGWA Foundation and the Gallery as we continue to move forward with our bold plans and desire for audiences to see things differently at AGWA. Event Producer, Grant Capriotti, explains; "What guests will experience at the Audi ART BALL is the result of some of Perth's finest creative minds working together to deliver this unique offering for WA. The ART BALL Creative Committee drew inspiration from the revered annual Met Gala in New York City. It's going to be a non-stop feast for the senses, set across multiple levels and gallery spaces within the iconic AGWA building".
Working in collaboration with the AGWA Foundation, the Audi ART BALL Creative Committee is comprised of fashion designer Poppy Lissiman, Uber Perth Marketing Manager Harrison Kennedy, Wellco Co-Founder and West Coast Editor of VOGUE Australia Andrea Bux, WelleCo General Manager Sales and Marketing Elle Peter, creative consultant Paul O'Connor, AGWA Foundation Councillor Sandy Honey and Muse Bureau Director Grant Capriotti.
The evening's edible experience will be curated by WA's finest canapé creators with premium beverages pouring all night, generously provided by AGWA's supporters Gage Roads Brewing Co, Juniper Estate and Higher Planes Wineries.
With an Avant Garde / Black Tie dress code, guests are encouraged to pull out all the stops, make a statement and dress to impress as they walk the red carpet into this exclusive gala event.
