Footage has been released from the new London production of Arthur Laurents’ and Stephen Sondheim’s rarely produced 1964 musical ‘Anyone Can Whistle’.

An all new video has been released from inside rehearsal for the upcoming production Anyone Can Whistle! A political satire about conformity and the ostracisation of those considered ‘other’ in society, ‘Anyone Can Whistle’, directed by Georgie Rankcom, will play Southwark Playhouse, 1 April - 7 May, 2022.

Showtime Documentary Films today announced it will premiere the new documentary HITSVILLE: THE MAKING OF MOTOWN from directors Benjamin and Gabe Turner (Class of 92, I Am Bolt, One Direction: This Is Us) on Saturday, August 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The remarkable story of the legendary Motown Records is told through new and exclusive interviews with the label's visionary founder, Berry Gordy, and many of its superstar artists and creative figures, as well as rare performances and behind-the-scenes footage unearthed from Motown's vaults and Gordy's personal archives. HITSVILLE: THE MAKING OF MOTOWN is the first documentary about the iconic label with Gordy's participation.

NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, announced the premiere broadcast of its first national public television production, The Midtown Men Live in Concert!, debuting this month. The performance, taped at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, NJ in May, will debut on NJTV and its sister stations THIRTEEN and WLIW in the New York metro area beginning tonight, November 29, with additional airings in select markets and a national rollout in March 2015 (check local listings). According to the New York Times, MOTOWN The Musical, based on the life of iconic Motown founder Berry Gordy, will start previews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater on March 11, with opening night set for April 14. The cast will be led by Brandon Victor Dixon (The Color Purple) as 'Berry Gordy Jr.' and Valisia LeKae (Ragtime, The Book of Mormon) as 'Diana Ross.' Additional casting has not yet been announced.
