National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, the associate producer of Broadway's "Indecent," will conclude the extended run its lavishly praised Off Broadway musical "Amerike- The Golden Land," on Sunday, August 20.

In a time when issues of immigration, assimilation, xenophobia, and socio-economic upheaval are more present than ever, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will bring to the stage a reimagined version of Moishe Rosenfeld and Zalmen Mlotek's Amerike-The Golden Land, a musical journey of the immigration experience. Playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, across from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, from which the story has taken inspiration, this limited Off Broadway engagement opens tonight and will run through August 6th. Despite W.C. Fields' warning about working with children and animals, you can now add another role to David Perlman's already impressive resume: adoring dad to a lovable pooch named Winnie Travid, the equally adorable, winsome and mischievous Chihuahua/terrier mix with whom he co-starred in A Dog Story off-Broadway, and who now is the star of his latest music video tribute, set to Fifth Harmony's 'I'm In Love With a Monster.'

David Perlman (Baby It's You!, Yank!, Madagascar Live!, and other shows without exclamation points) returned to Feinstein's/54 Below last week for his solo concert debut of MOSTLY FUNNY SONGS. The show featured guest star Natalie Weiss (Breaking Down the Riffs, Les Miserables, Everyday Rapture). David Perlman - who plays Ralph Sheldrake, the sometimes manipulative, always cunning television producer in Irving Berlin's White Christmas - admits he may have been a tad 'aggressively inspirational' recently when it came time to persuade his castmates and company cohorts to take part in a pet project that ultimately became a labor of love and yuletide revelry for the lot them.

The new national tour of IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, the acclaimed stage adaptation of the beloved classic film, kicks off November 6 in Waterbury, Conn. at The Palace Theater. The production will be traveling to Knoxville, Newport, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Providence, Rochester and Schenectady during the 2015 holiday season. The York Theatre Company today announced that their hit production of David Zellnik and Joseph Zellnik's musical, Yank! A World War II Love Story, will be extended for an additional two weeks due to it's box office success. Performances began at the York Theatre at Saint Peter's on February 16 and will now continue through April 4, 2010.
